Zojirushi America EF-VPC40 Fish Roaster, Metallic Gray
Zojirushi’ s fish roaster has a platinum catalytic filter on lid that reduces up to 90% of smoke and odor components. Platinum is a very efficient catalyst in chemical reactions. By infusing platinum particles in the filter, it allows the filter to chemically decompose odor components into carbon dioxide and water more efficiently. Smoke is also chemically decomposed in a similar way. A catalytic filter itself does not change or easily deteriorate and does not have to be replaced, as opposed to other filters. The roaster also has top and bottom heat reflectors that work in tandem to enhance crispiness. Top and bottom heating elements allow even cooking without flipping foods. The extra wide roasting rack accommodates large fish and meats.

Works like I wanted it to! Used it for the first time last night. I made two decent size whole red snappers. I was able to easily fit the two fish in the roaster after cutting off the heads and tails. Cooked them for 15 minutes, and they were perfect. The fish smell was still present, but definitely marginalized by the filter. The smell went away entirely after a couple of hours. I then cleaned the entire unit, and it took about 6 minutes (I timed it, and did not rush). If you put foil in the bottom floating dish,…
Bachelors blessing! This review is for the bachelors out there of which there are many. I no longer have to unload the oven and wait forever to preheat it. This thing warms up in a couple of minutes and I toss the fish on it and it comes out moist and perfect. A single chicken breast is done perfectly but just be sure to roast it less than recommended. The water under the floating reflector keeps the meat moist as it roasts. Clean up, once you get the routine, is actually easier than one would think. I even roast…
