Great hinge but the gasket could be much better… The lid hinge is good. I will say that Weber makes one tough product so you need to know what you are doing when drilling the holes. Use a brand new sharp metal drill bit. Start small and open the holes wider as needed. Use masking tape over the holes while drilling to prevent chipping.The gasket is just ok. You haven’t done this to your smoker yet why? Background: I bought a new 18″ WSM this year. I rad various forums and decided to add these items while it was new and clean, I had no carbon or soot or anything else to deal with.Hinge was easy to put on. Gasket was a little more work but does a great job. I can get 12 hours easy in my 18″ WSM on one basket of coals at 225, and still have coals left over for the next smoke.
