I like it !!!!!!! My other Digital thermometer is a Taylor #9306N for which I paid $100. It is USDA food grade certified and has an infra red reader. This ThermoPro is not in the same league BUT will be my go to thermo for every day use. Both units read the same temp but the ThermoPro has some neat features. It has an on board computer that computes the final temp thereby being much quicker than the $100 unit. The temp arm fixes ridgely so you can jab it into the meat. Questionable build quality – inaccurate readout – returned for a refund Received and immediately tested the thermometer- as other reviews have noted, there are a few issues.- The thermometer was off by an average of 1-2 degrees(with no way to calibrate).- Battery door *easily* pops off… MUCH Too easily- The opening mechanism of the thermometer sticks (brand new)- Itâs larger than anticipated- quite bulky to hold- Given itâs size – itâs much lighter than anticipated. Iâd expect some sort of heft/balance here – none exists…
