Smokehouse smoker insulation blanket- the Wrap-Around smoker insulation blanket is the newest innovation for keeping the heat in your smoker during extreme weather conditions & promotes very even smoking & heat consistency.Made for both the Big Chief and Little Chief top loading and front loading smokers from Smokehouse, this insulation blanket ensures that heating stays even and efficient in cold weather conditions, at or below 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Constructed of two 96 percent Reflect ix film layers bonded to two internal layers of heavy gauge polyethylene bubbles, the insulation blanket holds heat in for better cooking. The insulating blanket wraps around the Little Chief nearly two times and wraps around the Big Chief one time. The blanket leaves the top of the top-loading smoker open so that you can check your food with the blanket on. The blanket removes easily from the front-loading smokers when you need to check your food thanks to its Velcro attachments.

This item works great for it’s intended purpose This item works great for it’s intended purpose, though not exactly what I expected (I expected a custom-fit sleeve that would slide over the top of my top-loading Big-Chief smoker. It comes as a roll of mylar-covered bubblewrap insulation, and some stick-on Velcro tabs. You then stretch it around your smoker and stick it together. Please read before you buy!!! DUDE I LOVE MY BIG CHIEF! BUT……….This insulation blanket was way overpriced and could at least be put together to slide over the top rather than having to engineer it to stay together with a very minimal amount of included Velcro tape pieces. It is literally the same material as a auto sun shade that I purchased for $6 taped into a cardboard box and it worked wonders! Speeds up cooking time in the smoker. Keep in mind that this is used on a hot smoker and intended to keep the heat in… it does. My smoker time was greatly reduced and you need to be aware of that. I waited a little too long to check and my turkey breasts were getting dry and hard.The heat was increased so much that the adhesive tabs of the Velcro released… all of them on the vertical seam. I think I may have to strip off the adhesive and use household cement to reattach them. They’re on for now, just stuck back…
