Pros and Cons are about equal The only problem I’ve had is that the grease drainage runs backwards while cooking, and is supposed to get in the drain pan but ends up on countertop. Removable plates makes clean-up easier than previous countertop grill, but the tiny tabs that hold the plate on are difficult to open/shut and should’ve had some kind of larger tab for fingers to grab. This is larger grill, and has more heat options than our old George Foreman that lived for 15 years, so will keep this Proctor Silex unit, but…
Better than a Foreman Grill Pros – Easy to use. Being able to unfold it and use both sides is a big plus. Using it as a press to cook meats cuts the cook time in half. The reversible plates are handy, and they are easy to get on and off. With the design of the heating element, it cooks food more evenly than a standard electric griddle. Folded, it’s fairly compact and doesn’t take up a lot of space on the shelf.Cons – If there is a lot of “dripping”, it can get messy on the back, especially if you have it open to use…
