I tested the bulb (it had a crack in the housing) and it came up as bad. After spending 8 dollars on a new bulb … I ordered about a week ago and just installed. This replaced the same brand lamp I ordered last year. The push button broke and I had issues finding a replacement so I ordered a new lamp. When I installed it the lamp was missing the rubber gasket. I reused the old one instead. After completing the installation the lamp would not turn on. This is exactly what I needed. I had a wallyworld special that I had been using for s couple of years, but it was starting to flicker when I bumped the table.This light is bright, over a wide area, and is ideal as a tying light. I wanted something I didn’t have to plug in every time I wanted to tie a few flies.My only reservation is that the batteries don’t last as long as they did in my previous, much smaller light. Do not misunderstand me, I think that the battery life is fine…
