I tested the bulb (it had a crack in the housing) and it came up as bad. After spending 8 dollars on a new bulb … I ordered about a week ago and just installed. This replaced the same brand lamp I ordered last year. The push button broke and I had issues finding a replacement so I ordered a new lamp. When I installed it the lamp was missing the rubber gasket. I reused the old one instead. After completing the installation the lamp would not turn on. I tested the bulb (it had a crack in the housing) and it came up as bad. After spending 8 dollars on a new bulb it still didn’t work. I had a friend test…
This is exactly what I needed. I had a wallyworld special that I had been using for s couple of years, but it was starting to flicker when I bumped the table.This light is bright, over a wide area, and is ideal as a tying light. I wanted something I didn’t have to plug in every time I wanted to tie a few flies.My only reservation is that the batteries don’t last as long as they did in my previous, much smaller light. Do not misunderstand me, I think that the battery life is fine…
We expected all-metal construction from the picture, but the octagonal head is made from plastic & the lights are only covered by a thin plexi, which if knocked off your grill is more likely a material to break, or if placed above the grilling action, which is where you’ll have it to see what you’re trying to cook at night, will be affected adversely from the heat. And even though this light has a larger number of LEDs, they are either of a lower quality or need more than the 3-AA batteries…
