The built-in thermometer ensures you’re cooking at just the right temperature and helps prevent the possibility of overcooking meat. I owned the smoker for two years and three weeks. The units temperature controller was not accurate the temp fluctuated from one use to the next. The thermometer on the outer door was off by as much as 30 degrees.While preparing to smoke a turkey for a Christmas party on 12/17/17 I noticed a spark where the thermostat controller plugs into the smoker.
