Yea. The picture they show of a cut piece … Yea. The picture they show of a cut piece shows solid stainless. If it is its a low grade stainless with a lot of ferrous (iron) material. I checked mine with a magnet right out of the box. Magnet sticks right to it. I’m sure the purpose is so eventually it will rust and you will have to replace it again. It’s new and it will serve my purpose. The last porcelain coated steel lasted a couple years. I expect about the same from these. Should be time to upgrade to a higher grade grill by then. If…
Great grates! i think these grates are great! Based on a few reviews about them being stainless or not I conducted my own experiment. I have a very strong magnet. I tried on my stainless refrigerator, would not stick. Then I tried it on my Yeti stainless 30oz mug and it sticked a little. Then I tried it on these grates and it did not stick at all. Conclusion?
