Smoker MOD Awesome smoker for the price. With a few modification, this smoker is a champ! I recently started taking this bbq thing seriously and decided low and slow was the way to go. So, after doing some research, I decided to go with the Dyna Glo Vertical Smoker. If you don’t want to be a Hank Hill, this charcoal smoker is for you. Upgraded and made some mods Just put together the Dyna-Glo wide vertical offset smoker. Smoker had a few small dings and scratches, but nothing major. Super easy to put together. Used the high temp silicone where recommend and so far no leaks. I’ve only seasoned it, no meat yet. A couple notes:1. Mine came with a gasket installed on the big main door. Seems to be a good one. Good value with the mods. Qualifier: I paid less than the current price. At what I paid excellent price/quality match and I considered it raw material to improve. But it is very improvable. $225 with a free tube of Hugh temp RTV silicon feels right.Found it to work well if you are attentive in the build and do the mods called for. I am in central Texas so the thin metal is less an issue as it doesn’t get that cold.Order it with a large tube of RTV silicon and put it together with that stuff…
