Operating the Griddler Deluxe
Standard Cooking Make sure the Griddler Deluxe is in the PREHEAT position. It is recommended you preheat with grill in the closed position. Turn the UPPER PLATE and/or LOWER PLATE temperature to the desired setting – from Warm to 450°F. A red indicator light on the selected control will illuminate to indicate that the power is on. It may take up to 12 minutes to reach operating temperature, depending on the temperature level that was set. NOTE: The first time you use the Griddler Deluxe, it may have a slight odor and may smoke a bit. This is normal and common to appliances with nonstick surfaces. When the thermostat has reached operating temperature, a green indicator light inside the chosen control will indicate that the Griddler Deluxe is ready for cooking. You may vary the setting of the control knob at any time during cooking. To turn the plate(s) off, simply turn the temperature dial(s) to the OFF position. NOTE: If the unit is on and heated for more than 2 hours, it will automatically shut off. This is a safety feature of the Griddler Deluxe. To reactivate, simply turn either dial.

HORRIBLE Warranty/Customer Service This product is great….while it works. I had it for a little under a year. The cord/plug now get EXTREMELY hot when I use it so I’m afraid to use it now. I used other electric appliances in the outlet so I know it’s not the outlet. Also, the drip pan seems to have melted (it’s on the back of the unit) so I can’t remove it to clean it. I purchased an extended warranty. Contacted them. They said it appears it’s still under warranty from Cuinsart. Tried for a week to reach them (I don’t have…
Quality appliance, should last long time This is definitely a good upgrade from your standard George Foreman grills.I’ve used it about a dozen times already in the couple weeks I’ve had it – done fish, burgers, chicken, steak.Pros -I was impressed by the warmup time, and how it could maintain that temperature through the cooking process – something my old GF grill could not do. Cleanup is easy too so far.Cons -My main complaint is that when you have the top plate floating in the closed…
Lasted 10 months! Beware! If you want a resolution through Cuisinart, it will cost you!! The product itself is great, but after only 10 months (and maybe 15 usages) the grill just stopped working while we were making pancakes. We called Customer Service at Cuisinart, and they asked us to pay them $10 to ship us a new unit (that I could handle), and then send them the faulty unit at OUR EXPENSE! That cost ended up being $49.71! So now the grill that we originally paid $116 for has now cost an additional $60!! It lasted less than a year, and we had to pay more than half the original…
