Whether you’re on the family camping trip, having a day at the lake, or swimming in the pool, sometimes you just need a hot shower. Simply attach a garden hose and you have all the hot water you need. The Triton Water Heaters produce more hot water per minute than any other unit in its class. Capable of producing 1.5 gallons of hot water per minute, this heater is great for anything from filling up a portable pool to washing your pets or showering off at the beach.

– Make sure to have adequate pressure. If connected to a pump, or something other than standard water supply, like a well, or gravity flow, test with a garden hose connected to a pressurized system (city water).
– Always make sure to open the propane tank, REALLY slowly, and only ½ to 1 full turn at the most, BEFORE turning on the water source going to the unit. used for a camp shower Used it last weekend on a three day camping trip. I mounted the heater on a simple 2×4 stand with a 12VDC RV Flojet pressure regulated water pump powered by a 12VDC car ‘jumper box’. I made a pvc ‘shower tower’ in a shower tent with a simple wooden floor and hung the spray head on the tower.The heater worked great. Hot water whenever we wanted. Only issue was that sometimes the temperature regulation varied a little. I think next year I will add a standard hot/cold valve assembly…
These are great for camping
Camp Chef Triton Instant Water Heater I own 4 of the HWD5 Triton units, and use them in the mountains. I keep buying them because they are inexpensive, and therefore “throwaways”. They are flimsy, but do their job very well, when they work. The threads for the hose connections are sloppy, and the hose attachments often leak. But the worst problem is that the leaking water sprays directly onto the battery box, thus shorting it out and shutting off the heater until the battery box had dried out and the batteries were…
