Big Improvement Over Old Version Yes, this burner is a couple of inches smaller than the original. This is an OEM part and in my opinion superior to the previous model. The burner is one solid piece now and feels heavier than the previous version. The two halves are sealed so you don’t get flame shooting up from the middle. Assembly was simple and replacing the burners was quick and easy. Four screws and a gasket to attach the tubes to the burners. Hot and Cold This is a new size direct replacement for the Broilmaster grill. Broilmaster states it has been tested and verified to heat evenly just as the previous 21″ burner. I’m here to show everyone this is not true. We can see from the picture below, grilled chicken, the inner pieces burned. All chicken was placed on the grill at the same time but we can clearly see uneven heating. There is about a 4″ gap between the edge of the burner and the side wall of the grill.
